Credibility
Three things you can trust here, and exactly why.
A marketplace is only as good as its weakest claim. These are the rules behind the Verified badge, the star rating and the endorsements, in plain words.
Verification
Verified means two checks passed.
- Identity. The expert completes a Stripe Identity session: a government ID and a live selfie, matched by Stripe. We never see or store the document. We receive a pass or fail and the verified legal name.
- Human review. A member of Focus Insite staff reads the profile, compares the verified name to the public links the expert supplied, and checks that the claims on the page match what those links show. Mismatches get a question; unanswered questions get a rejection.
Only after both pass does the red badge appear and the page go live. Re-verification is required if an expert changes their legal name or we receive a credible report.
Focus Insite has recruited and screened participants for Fortune 500 research for ten years. The review step is the same discipline, applied to a public profile.
Reviews
A review can only be written by a client who has either completed a paid live session with that expert or received a delivered Ask from them. The check is enforced in the database, not in the interface: there is no path to a review without a matching paid booking.
- One review per booking. A client who books three times can review three times.
- Free consultations do not unlock a review. Nothing was paid, so nothing is rated.
- Reviews cannot be edited by the expert, and the expert cannot pick which reviews show. Every published review is on the page.
- The average and the distribution bars are computed from published reviews only.
Every review carries a Verified tag because every review meets the rule above. There is no unverified kind.
Endorsements
A verified expert may endorse one other verified expert. One, ever. The endorsement is written in their own words, shown with their name and photo on the other person’s page, and cannot be withdrawn or reassigned.
That scarcity is the point. An expert who has used their one endorsement has made a permanent, public statement with their own reputation behind it. Read endorsements as a stronger signal than a review, because they cost more to give.
When we remove things
Reviews that look like harassment, contain personal data, or come from a disputed payment are flagged to a Focus Insite admin before anything changes. A person decides. Removed reviews leave the average and are logged with the reason.
Profiles are unpublished if verification lapses, if an expert repeatedly cancels confirmed sessions, or if we find the page misrepresents who they are. We tell the expert why.
What we do not claim
Verified means we know who someone is and that their public record supports what their page says. It does not mean we have assessed their advice, their licences or the outcome of your session. Experts here are independent. Read the reviews, read the endorsements, and book the free call where one is offered.
